A food and wine tasting to celebrate the athletes in the Southwest Ohio region

(August 5, 2022) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – To mark fifty years of training individuals with intellectual disabilities in athletics, sportsmanship, and the true spirit of competition, Special Olympics Ohio is proud to host a celebration on Thursday, August 18th at Peterloon Estate in Indian Hill.

The Taste of Victory Celebration will feature a variety of gourmet appetizers and wine pairings highlighting local vendors. Guests will enjoy live jazz music from the Jeannine Groh Quartet, bid on exciting and one-of-a-kind silent auction items, and meet some of the inspiring Special Olympics Ohio athletes. Highlights of the evening include recognition of USA Games athletes and a presentation of awards to some of the organization’s most dedicated volunteers.

Special Olympics Ohio provides year-round athletic training and competition, health education and leadership programs for over 20,000 athletes across the state. The Southwest region, ranging from Adams County up to Logan County, serves over 4,500 athletes from ages 2 and up. By purchasing tickets, participants help provide opportunities for athletes at no cost to themselves while creating a greater sense of belonging for everyone in the community.
