Rebecca Bailey

A self-professed athletics enthusiast, Rebecca believes that everyone should have access to the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of sports regardless of ability. She looks forward to utilizing her skill set to collaborate on new fundraising strategies and celebrate the athletes of Special Olympics Ohio.

Rose has served Special Olympics Ohio as a passionate volunteer at the local level for many years. She credits Special Olympics involvement with enhancing her son’s leadership skills and confidence so much that he is now a member of his high school’s track team, an excellent example of inclusion!

 


Steve Mangum

Steve is a former college athlete who is recognized as a Top Advisor by Forbes magazine. He understands the importance of sports from both a social and a competitive standpoint. He says most of his best memories as well as best friends have come as a result of sports and looks forward to helping others have that same experience.

 


Charissa Salerno

Charissa is described as professionally strategic and thoughtful in her approach to balancing the needs of employees with those of their business. In her spare time she is a dedicated mentor and volleyball coach, using both opportunities to teach young people about partnership, determination, and teamwork to help them prepare for their professional futures.

Phil brings thirty-plus years of experience in the financial field to assist Special Olympics Ohio in evolving to meet changing demand while remaining fiscally wise. He comes from a sports-oriented family and believes Special Olympics sets the gold-standard for using athletic participation and competition to empower and enable people.

As the proud parent of an SOOH athlete, Lisa says she is fortunate to have experienced how the Special Olympics mission impacts an athlete and their family. She says that participation in Special Olympics has given her daughter new strength and confidence and also has helped her son (who does not have a disability) to be more respectful and inclusive of all people.
