Steps to Becoming a Special Olympics Ohio Certified Head Coach
- Contact a local coordinator and complete a Coaching Interest Form. Special Olympics Ohio is comprised of different local programs around the state and each program has a coordinator who supervises and manages all activities within that program. If you are unsure of the contact information for your local program, fill out and submit the form and we will do the rest!
- Once you have connected with your local program, the next step is to begin working on the requirements to become a Certified Head Coach. Use the Certified Coach Requirements checklist for reference.
- Once you have completed all of the requirements, obtain your local coordinators’ signature on the Certification Checklist to verify your two-year commitment to coaching Special Olympics Athletes and return it to Katie Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- When you are approved, you will receive your official Special Olympics Ohio Certified Coach polo shirt!
