Special Olympics Ohio, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation and is the sole agency accredited by Special Olympics, Inc. to conduct programs in Ohio. Special Olympics Ohio relies on corporate and individual support to provide opportunities for the 17,000 athletes registered in Ohio.

Special Olympics Ohio raises the funds through private donations, corporate sponsorships and fundraising projects. In addition to monetary contributions, Special Olympics also accepts a variety of in-kind donations of goods and services.

Funds are carefully managed so that the athletes benefit the most from the program. In 2012, 73 percent of funds raised went directly towards programs and services for the Special Olympics athletes.

Our donors are the backbone of our fundraising efforts. Special Olympics Ohio would not be able to provide quality sports training and competition opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities without generous support from individuals, civic organizations and corporations.

Donors can send gifts directly to Special Olympics Ohio at 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, Ohio 43232.
