2008 Law Enforcement Torch Run
The 2008 Law Enforcement Torch Run is coming to a community near you. The Torch Run will take place the week of June 22 - 27. We expect to have over 1,500 law enforcement officers participating this year.

Brave Souls Freeze their Fannies for Special Olympics
Yet their Hearts are Warm as Successful Polar Plunge Season Concludes

Almost a quarter-of-a-million dollars was raised for Special Olympics Ohio athletes during the highly successful 2008 “Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Bear Plunge” season, which, fittingly, wrapped up during the blizzard weekend of March 8, at Grand Lake St. Marys, in Celina. Approximately 1,300 brave souls participated at eight sites around Ohio this year for the plunges. From Ashtabula, in Ohio’s northeast corner, to Cincinnati, in the state’s southwest corner; and from Cedar Point, on Lake Erie and on the state’s north coast, to Strouds Run State Park, in southern Ohio, the popularity of the event is astounding and its success is swelling with each passing year.
